That fact is, in itself, an indictment of America in general and the Republican Party in particular. If we actually had the government that the Framers gave us, no President, no Congress, no Court could possibly be "THE END". They simply wouldn't have the power to be "THE END". We didn't get here over night. We didn't even get here in the past 7.5 years. This bloated, unconstitutional, excessively powerful government is the result of decades of anti-constitutional action by judges, congressmen, senators, and presidents from both parties. We the People listened to their blather, believed their lies, and elected them. Those few of us who resisted were routinely reviled, derided, and shouted down. If the political class wants to see who created the "monster" Trump, they can look in the mirror.
Great comments.
The continual slide away from constitutional intent has created more agencies, more influence peddling, more corruption and more litigation. I believe the foundation was set by the 17th Amendment, with other factors setting in years later. I do wonder what life would be like if the Attorneys were not allowed to advertise - I think in the 1950’s they couldn’t do that, or were restricted.
The further we move from the Constitution, the more corrupt politicians we’ll find.
