For as long as I can remember, the Republican Base would be served up GOPe candidates (Romney, Bush, Dole, etc etc) that were not really what the Repub voters wanted, but the voters were expected to hold their nose and vote for the GOP establishment candidates.

So after many years, by some miracle, the Repub voters get a chance to vote for an outsider who actually seems like he might be on the Base’s side, instead of the Dept of Commerce or a Dem tool like the current GOPe.

And so what do we see? Supposed rock solid conservatives like Lee and Cruz stabbing the voter’s choice in the back and refusing to pledge support, knowing full well they might as well be on Clinton’s payroll since they are effectively working for the Dems by disrupting Repub Convention unity. A breath takingly stupid move that the Dems are not dumb enough to do...witness the dramatic change of tune by Bernie Saunders...Dems move united and in lock step. Repubs act like cowards and children.

Tow Parties in America...the Evil Party and the Stupid Party.
