Also, I watched a Reagan documentary recently (don’t have the link offhand) that covered this incident in some detail and someone at the time was quoted, commenting on Reagan’s concession speech, something to this effect: “When Reagan finished speaking there was a palpable feeling in the air that we had all chosen the wrong man.”

There was no feeling like that last night. Not even among Texans. Not even among Heidies.
