disgusted and disappointed with our Governor(Ohio) but super proud of our city (Cleveland) - big time.. he Cruz, Romney, Beck need to pack it up and disappear.

Morning all my friends here (almost noon). work til 2 today at hotel. Started at 6
Neat group of cyclists (the “work your legs” type) have begun to arrive. Impressive Sag vehicles and huge bus. They are from Houston Doing a cross country from Oregon to The East Coast. Fund raiser of sorts.. raising 13 Million on this ride for a cause relating to issues of elderly adults.
I have done a few longer rides but NEVER this ambitious and my ride around Lake Erie trip was cancelled a few years ago when I fell and broke my ankle & had a terrible time with infections etc. Now I am in sorry shape. I was at one time riding 3000 miles/year so I guess you could say I am an avid cyclist. Like off road, trails as well as long trips on roads. Enjoy puttsying around cities on Sunday mornings when traffic is low and you can easily maneuver w/o issues
REGARDING INAUGURAL BALL - 3d-jOY and I are going to do our best to see what we can put together with any help from DC FReepers that we can get. The moves, death, and drop outs(lightening exits also) the past 2 national election cycles have unfortunately depleted those numbers. No guarantees but we will check out places, crunch numbers etc.
It's real nice also that the idea of an Inaugural Ball is being explored !

I’ve never really watched much convention coverage, but this one seemed quite lovely.

Hi DollyCali, “but super proud of our city (Cleveland) - big time” as well you should be. Cleveland did a tremendous job maintaining peace and quite outside the convention center. The chief of police was front and center with his cadre whom I’m greatly respect him. The press coverage by the local news outlets was exceptional.
I get tired just thinking about cycling 3,000/miles per year, a tremendous effort, congratulations.
