It's not that Cruz really wants Constitutional judges, limited government, religious freedom or the rest, it's only that these were the pillars of his campaign and he wants the Presidency above all else, thinks he's sent by God.
He's narcissistic at best, psychotic at worst.

He is extremely jealous of Pence IMO Pence is everything TC wants to be.
He is successful— both as a congressman and governor
He is a great family man with three outstanding children
He has a wonderful marriage
He is popular even with the opposition
He is a Christian, a conservative and a republican
Last night was as much as an attack against Pence as Trump. Pence is now the logical next torchbearer of the party. NOT TC
Ted Cruz is a fake. Remember the first paragraph of his op ed with Paul Ryan in the Wall Street Journal:
“The United States is making headway on two historic trade agreements, one with 11 countries on the Pacific Rim and another with America’s friends in Europe. These two agreements alone would mean greater access to a billion customers for American manufacturers, farmers and ranchers. “
Cruz was in support of free trade agreements, but backtracked when he realized he would lose political support. However, this first paragraph showed that he was in support of free trade, and that he is a liar.
