47 years ago, July 18, 1969, Chappaquiddick happened.
That was a turning point for Ted. His best chances at becoming president sank with poor Mary Jo. Ted had a moment of inarticulation during a TV interview while preparing his presidential campaign in 1980. The reporter asked him, “Why do you want to become President of the United States?”.
That’s an appropriate question. Ted stumbled, and mumbled, but never did clearly answer it. Sometimes you don’t get muligans.

Comrade Ted K. kept his job in the Senate.

Lyin’ Ted C. won’t.

Wow, two days later we landed on the moon. I had no idea they happened so close together.

Yep. While Apollo 11 was flying to the moon, Kennedy’s ‘67 Olds Delta 88 flew into a tidal channel.

Carter and Kennedy were both scumbuckets.

At least Cryin’ Ted abandoned his woman on the side of the road instead of underwater.

No Kennedy lost his bid because even democrats couldn’t be part of allowing a guy who left a woman to drown become president. Being adored senator for life was fine with them. Hilary might wish she’d kept her seat in NY, though today’s democrat is fine with her having let those embassy people to die the way she did

Cruz will never be adored by the GOP or voters

This is the exact point I’ve been making on that awful device twitter - sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do.

Telling them that teddy should have studied the man a bit better and perhaps he wouldn’t have gone done in flames tonight.

God his supporters are as smug and arrogant as he is - delusion runs deep.

It’s incredible how arrogant, smug, snobbish, vulgar and vile the Cruz worshippers are on Twitter. They are actually just as hateful and delusional as Hillary supporters are, if not more so. They really are a cultist bunch.

Cruz could butcher and kill a newborn baby on TV and his twitter worshippers would applaud and follow suit. It’s particularly funny to hear them proclaim themselves the “Best Christians EVAHH” while they’re cursing at Trump supporters or Trump himself.

I want to emphasize that I’m referring to Cruz’s Twitter supporters, not most of his supporters on FR. The twitter supporters are in a (low) class by themselves. Although there are still a handful on FR who would fall into that category.

He did, and if Trump loses I know who I’ll blame. However Ted Kennedy was never allowed to run for a higher office again.

Edward “Ted” Kennedy really was a traitor to the United States. He secretly negotiated with the USSR for help to topple a Reagan presidency.

yeah, Fat Teddy reportedly sent bouquets of flowers to the Apollo 11 astronauts, thanking them for taking him off the front page.
