Cruz continued on, his voice shaky, as the noise from delegates on the floor — and attendees in the second and third decks of the arena — all but drowned him out.
The scene, watched by millions of people around the world, was an unmitigated nightmare for Cruz, who in many ways was using Wednesday’s speech as the unofficial kickoff of his 2020 campaign. Cruz knew that he was taking a risk by not endorsing Trump — yet never could have predicted the scope of vitriol his decision would elicit.
When he had uttered his final words — “Thank you, and may God bless the United States of America” — Cruz was showered with thunderous, cascading boos. He stepped away from the podium yet remained on the stage for several moments, waving and smiling uncomfortably, trying not to appear paralyzed by the moment.

NOT a Cruz supporter, but all along -—and you all know I said this-—I thought the “conservative” media was using Ted only to stop Trump and when/if the did, they would switcheroo Rubes or someone else for Cruz.
That Nat Review ran this suggests they have already turned on him.
The lying media. he wasn’t booed off the stage.
The penultimate humiliation was to be denied a private audience with Sheldon Adelson.
If it was about 2020, Cruz just detonated his political suicide vest.
I mean Bill Clinton was booed off the stage in 1988 for being an ass and speaking overtime but Cruz really kneecapped his future presidential aspirations.
He had to know going in with a refusal to endorse Trump would cost him.
Donald Trump is the GOP nominee.
That is a done deal. Cruz is history. That is also a done deal.
Now we have a new adversary. Starting tomorrow, everyone oppose Hillary. Everyone.

Ted Cruz could’ve stayed home, but as many have said, ala Chuck Schumer, Cruz can help himself when Cameras are involved.
Who is going to trust that Cruz won’t do whatever it takes to get that adoration he so craves?
He most certainly was. What speech were you watching?
Wasn’t Cuccinelli a Tea Party guy? And wasn’t he screwed over by the GOP elites? But now he’s in bed with them? As is Lee?
Don;t forget that earlier in the evening Laura Ingraham ripped the non-endorsers and said it was time for them to get over their hurt feelings and endorse Trump now.
A lot of “Tea Party” guys just jumped on the bandwagon to get elected. Ted is the most egregious one of the bunch, but you’ve named more.
