Cruzbots are the only listeners Levin has left.
And the size of his listenership is shrinking everyday.
He can’t afford to lose the only small group of listeners he has left.
Levin has answered that many times on his show: he doesn't care (or claims not to care). If he truly doesn't care about the size of his listenership then he will wander in the wilderness. In that case he intends to watch Trump fail spectacularly, watch America elect Hugo Chavez, watch a decade or two of chaos, perhaps civil war, then recovery based on the Constitution or a new constitution.
I think those are all low probability events chained together and America's enemies will take advantage of the chaos and with dire results for the free world. I prefer to be much more optimistic and believe that Trump can fend off the leftist attacks and most of the leftist influences and give conservatives some room to recover and fertilize conservatism in the roots of the grass and establish a viable conservative alternative.
America can become great again much more easily than we can cut the government back to size, implement conservative policies that are impossible with large entrenched liberal government. Levin is right about one thing, the size and scope of federal power is our biggest problem. We don't fully know what we will get in that regard with Trump but it is realistic to be optimistic at this point.
