Well, I guess William Kristol has his destructive third party candidate. I expect that the Hillary-loving media, which almost universally despised Cruz, will elevate him to god-like status for the next four months. Cruz has some crazy dream that he can run from the ashes of the party in 2020; what he doesn’t realize is that he has ticked off the base of the Party more than even Jeb Bush and he would be lucky to get Bush’s three delegates in 2020.
That must have been personal pique by Cruz. It was just dumb.
Guys like Rockefeller and Romney who refused to endorse Goldwater were hurt by it in 1968.
