I have nothing but an open door, a welcome home, and a place by the fire for everyone who has walked away from the Cruz camp. For the Cruzlims? Nothing but a warning that their cult leader stands over hellfire for his abuse of religion, and that they need to come away for the safety of their souls.
I have been a Trump supporter since his announcement.
But, I praised Cruz to his attackers here through March. I said he was better suited to the Supreme Court. I said he was a good man. My objection to him, consistently from June 2015 to March 2016, was that he couldn’t be elected.
In March, I began to step back from that position, because his actions started to worry me. But, after Indiana, it was obvious the race was over, and I kind of stopped paying attention to him.
But now? As the Scooter would say, Holy Cow! (NY trivia for my tristate friends).
This is a guy who ran for the Senate so he could run for President. Who thinks he is the only one who can do what he wants done.And what is that?
I’m not sure we really know.
I’m sorry for all the good FReepers who backed him and who are feeling the sting of losing. Your hearts are in the right place.
But I don’t think your candidate is.
