From what I have heard, his speech was GOOD. It wasn't what he said, it was what he didn't say (during the last two minutes). It was that he didn't 'endorse' Trump officially.
I don't know if he said why or not, so surely somewhere there is a link to the speech. Matter of fact, I saw a link earlier in the thread, you might look there.

It might have been good if it wasn’t loaded with hypocrisy. Cruz was ranting about the importance of freedom for the American people with a straight face while the reality was that he had tried to take away the voice of the American people with his delegate stealing sleazy tricks.
The entire speech was a farce because his earlier actions during the primary had not not matched up with the overly earnest rhetoric. I was disgusted.
The ONLY thing good about the speech was when Cruz made clear that it was the Republican party that ended slavery.
