They are more concerned with salvaging their political or media careers than they are with preventing the destruction of the country. Am I missing something? I am not 100% sold on Trump but the real depressing thing about tonight is that if Trump does not win, who will one support in 2020?

More than ANYTHING, I don't know about Democrats like you or people where you come from or people like you, but where I come from, and the way I was raised, a PLEDGE or an OATH is binding. There's no ambiguity. Cruz's worst lie is swearing an oath to God and then proving that his pledge and his signature were a lie, and that he is a man whose word can't be trusted, and in the end, ALL WE HAVE as men are the strength and truth of our WORD and our determination to make sure we never default upon it, as Cruz (and Kasich and others have.)
That---reneging on a pledge made on national TV before millions---is the lie of lies, a sin, and confirms that the man is not only not fit to be president, he has confirmed that we were right, he's not an American and not fit to be one, and has betrayed America with his lying about his oath.

I think Heidi is used to having a 'stage presence' and knew it was important for her not to get mad over what was obviously clumsiness during a faked(meaning it was done only for the cameras) hugging session.
I would agree with you on the concept that Heidi is used to hiding her displeasure in order to achieve her goals.

Trump never said anything about the alleged affairs of Cruz.
Trump did not say Heidi was responsible for malfeasance at GS, but he has alluded ghat she must be okay with her employer if she works there (she does, but is on leave).

There was a better candidate for senator in 2012, Craig James, but he was going no where; so most conservatives embraced Cruz as the best alterative to the establishment pick, David Dewhurst.
Whose Constitution? He sure is NOT for our US Constitution... because IF he was he knows that his parents did NOT bestow upon him 'natural born' US citizenship... Ted Cruz is not now nor will he ever be eligible to hold the office of president, it is in our Constitution.
