>>So disgusting!

>>Hygiene, including daily showers with fresh water, flushing toilets, etc., have contributed greatly to human health. Environmentalists want to take us back to the Dark Ages.

I used to think that Progressives would not be able to survive the slightest collapse of civilization, but now I think that most FReepers will quickly die of the vapors if our sterile and plastic civilization ever falters.

It’s urine in a bowl of water with a lid on it. As long as you don’t drink out of it or wash your hands in it, you can let it sit for an hour or two.

I work in the water utility industry and the shortage of water is very real even in places where there appears to be unlimted water (I’m in north Florida). But, I’d outlaw manicured lawns long before I’d worry about flushing pee down the toilet.

That reminds me. The sprinklers on my tiff lawn have been on for eight hours now. Two more hours and I'll have to shut them off.

I understand that. And you are right. I am probably spoiled because I live in a rural area with a well and a natural spring/pond on our property. Canada is full of water.

But I think my original point is true.

And yes, I don't like manicured lawns in dry areas. People should go with native plants.

With all due respect, you don't know me and I would not die of the vapors in an emergency situation.

Take care. :)

Even in the most severe droughts in St. Louis, there has never been fears of a widespread water shortage. The city has always been able to draw water from the Mississippi.
