I think this proves that Cruz went off script. Whatever speech he had submitted to the Trump campaign for vetting didn't match what he actually said.

That’s interesting. Isn’t Newt’s teleprompter speech at variance with what he just said on Hannity? He said he’d read Cruz’s speech and had his remarks prepared.

I think what has been reported, that Cruz submitted a different 9 minute speech, is accurate.
Cruz blew it big time.
