I’m happy to be wrong. I didn’t see Newt slamming Cruz but covering for him. But I’m not as smart as Newt so I’m glad he subtly smacked him.
Newt made lemonade out of a huge lemon. He tried to get the convention back on track after the skunk left the stage.
It wasn’t subtle at all.
I didn’t get it either. Seemed like Newt was trying to save face for the convention.
This has been such an emotionally charged evening, not to mention rowdy. Newt with tact and subtlety, flayed Ted with kind words. It wast cover for Ted. Not at all. Sending hugs!
