Isn’t a person born to a Christian family who no longer believes in God an atheist?Yes, but only if he's been polled/surveyed etc. and made the declaration. Otherwise he's in the Christian column for statistical purposes.
If we knew the heart of every individual the stats on religious affiliation would probably change markedly.

It matters to me what is in the heart. That’s why I get along with conservative Jews.
