Gov. John Kasich has been notably absent from the main events at the Republican National Convention being held in his home state of Ohio this week, and on Tuesday he took a thinly-veiled swipe at the presumptive nominee.
Kasich seemed to offer a rebuttal of Donald Trump's campaign, rejecting what he called a "stew" of nationalism, isolationism, and anti-trade sentiments.
"What does that stew look like? What does that mean for the world? What does it mean for stability, for peace, for relationships? I'm very concerned about it," the Ohio governor said during an address for the International Republican Institute.
The remarks at the event came only a day after the Trump campaign lashed out at Kasich for his refusal to play a big role in the convention in his backyard.

And there really is no excuses anymore. All these Cruzbots and NeverTrumpers complained that Trump wasn’t conservative enough.
Well, now we have one of the most conservative platforms ever for the RNC and that wouldn’t have happened without Trump.
They no longer have the excuse for their behaviors and are just exposing themselves as frauds.

Why can't Kasich get his mind off his stomach???
Kasich forced to EAT Trump Stew
I don’t care who you are, that’s pretty damned funny!
Kasich is a “thinly wiped ahole”. The boy will not grow up.
Isn't he the lying SOB that raised his hand and swore to support the eventual GOP candidate-regardless of who that might be- with a bunch of other weasels at the first debate?
His word isn’t worth squat.
Kasich must be the Lima beans...
No. Kasick is irrelevant.
Dear John. I don’t think Hilderbeast has choosen her VP yet. Why don’t you throw your hat in the ring. Hillary says, “Call me John”.
