What I think is funny is that liberals who have cancelled events here - Springsteen, Cirque du Soleil, this event, many others - assume that they're "punishing" us.

In the circles where I run, in general, the attitude is "Fine. Didn't particularly want you and your crowd here, anyway."

Now, the media is trying to get things stirred in a flap and a flutter, but by and large, the reaction from most of NC has been a collective yawn.
