Neither George W. Bush, the Republican Party nominee in 2000 and 2004, nor Jeb, the dethroned Prince of Wales, will be in Cleveland. Nor will John McCain or Mitt Romney, the last two nominees.
These former leaders would like it thought that high principle keeps them away from a GOP convention that would nominate Donald Trump. Petulance, however, must surely play a part. Bush Republicans feel unappreciated, and understandably so.
For Trumps nomination represents not only a rejection of their legacy but a repudiation of much of post-Cold War party dogma.
America crossed a historic divide and entered a new era. Even should Trump lose, there is likely no going back.

Trump's biggest accomplishment as candidate and as nominee has been to take a broom and sweep these political cobwebs and lint clumps out of their positions of power in the GOP.
Good riddance.
I sure hope so. I never want to see another Bush in office again.
Go Pat Go!
“Is the Party Over For Bushism?”
30 years too late, but better late than never. Mexico will be so sad.
“Kinder, gentler conservatism”
“Read my lips, no new taxes”
“Jobs Americans Won’t Do”
“Family Values Don’t Stop at the Rio Grande”
“Islam is a Religion of Peace”
a rejection of their legacy

We DO NOT want to be North Mexico.
The Bush family is largely responsible for the illegal alien inundation that has plagued this country.
The GOP establishment has been grooming Jorge P. Bush (Jeb’s cock-eyed, half-Mexican son) for the Governorship of TX and eventually the Presidency of the United States. With any luck, young Jorge will be about as successful in his ambitions as his father’s run for the Presidency proved to be.
BushCo and its worthless elites are in bankruptcy with the American voters. The rejection of Jeb shows the how America feels about these elites.

America crossed a historic divide and entered a new era. Even should Trump lose, there is likely no going back.
Since we are no longer willing to go along with the GOP elites and their deceitful political games anymore, they are going to take their toys and go home and sulk like spoiled children. Trump has exposed these pathetic, self-centered losers for what they really are.
Now the Party can move forward and rebuild for the future.
The Bushes thrive on kleptocracy and cronyism which is repellant to most Americans, especially conservatives. Therefore, it's in their interest to flood the country with Mexican nationals who are enculturated in the Padrone economic system and the Caudillo political system. Unfortunately, this will ultimately backfire because even though the Bushes are great at pandering to their Mexican client class, the Democrats have been at this game even longer and they're even better at it.
Prediction: If Trump doesn’t win the 2016 election, then the Republican Party will cease to exist thereafter.
A true nationalist, grassroots political party that reflects the middle class of America!
The Bushes as a general proposition should be thankful that here we do not employ the traditional system of deposing monarchal lines that have outlived their usefulness.
Yes

Yes
and Yes
The name “Bush” now polls somewhere between Bubonic Plague and the Zika Virus in opinion polling.
George P. got a bigger TX vote than George W — in excess of 70 percent, primary and general election. People like “P”, as the Bushes often call him.
GWB seems to be living in a form of self imposed exile. You rarely hear anything from him. Nobody seems to miss him.
Kinder, gentler conservatismaka "Compassionate conservatism" = Liberalism Lite
Read my lips, no new taxes = No new taxes while it's convenient for me and my cronies.
Jobs Americans Wont Do = Jobs American's won't do for Mexican or Guatemalan wages.
Family Values Dont Stop at the Rio Grande = America should be the official dumping ground for Mexico's surplus population, especially its most indigent dregs.
Islam is a Religion of Peace = The House of Saud has been writing my speeches and dictating my foreign policy.
