From the moment that Pat Smith concluded her Monday night speech at the Republican National Convention (RNC) about how her son was murdered in the 2012 Benghazi terror attack, MSNBC had their marching orders to annihilate, demean, and smear Smith for her attacks on Hillary Clinton that left the assembled cast of liberals confused at the “gross accusation” that’s “ruined” the entire night.
Co-host Rachel Maddow seemed confused at the idea of Smith’s outrage at Clinton’s failed leadership so Washington Post columnist Eugene Robinson chimed in that it was “an extraordinary thing” and seemed confused at Smith linking Clinton to what happened to her son.
“I mean, because the sort of basis for that seems to be what Hillary Clinton did or did not tell her after the fact but I didn't quite make the connection as to why she holds her personally responsible for the death,” he declared.
Maddow added by accosting Smith for “playing with a very specific kind of fire that almost is impossible for me to watch, I have to say” in suggesting that someone should go to prison for her son’s death.

I avoid the headaches by staying far from any entity that is part of the MSM. When I turn to FR in the morning I pat myself on the back, having known exactly how the media would react to whatever speech I listed to last night.
If you named a subject AND a “member” of the media,you could accurately predict what they would say about virtually anythin.
Trust is Hillary’s biggest problem. If Hillary was generally trustworthy voters could believe the mom’s lying if they want (no way to prove it either way). Since Hillary is a known liar, even supporters often admit it, it’s hard to believe her over the mom.
There could be a great ad with “sniper fire”, “emails”, ..., the mom saying she lied. Hard for any defender to argue with that and make Hillary look good. “yes, she lied in those other cases, but I’m sure she did not lie to the mom”.
The media is in meltdown mode. I love it.
That speech will be used as the basis for multiple 30 or 60 second Trump ads, particularly by PACs, imo.
People watch MSNBC?
MSNBC is staying true to their vile principles. Attack a grieving mother of a hero, but laud the mothers of Trayvon and Brown who raised worthless sons. Must really scare them that the true is spoken for all to hear!

Herself is right out there with the “nuts and sluts” response, a strategy that has served Herself well in the past. Vindictive seems to work.

Last night just as a speaker began to unload on Hillary, PBS quickly cut away. I will watch and see if they do the same thing for Trump. I am not holding my breath.

She could have made the case better: “No one came to help my son because Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama didn’t want a bad headline the next morning about big mean American soldiers beating up poor little Arab YouTube video protestors.” Her emotions got in the way of the point she was supposed to make. I don’t fault her, but it might have been better to let someone like Rudy Giuliani make the argument.

Because the propagandists and ideologues on the left will stop at nothing. This poor woman lost her son, but no compassion is shown her, and she is labeled a liar by unconscionable leftist media. As a contrast, I'm sure there is tape somewhere of Matthews supporting Cindy Sheehan, in part because she lost her son. The hypocrisy is stunning.

Clinton simply denies she ever told Patricia Smith that an internet video was responsible and calls Mrs Smith a liar.
Of course, Hillary's denial that she told Patricia Smith an internet video was to blame is hard to swallow given that she told the same lie to all of us when she told America at Andrews Airforce Base that the internet video was to blame.
