Listen again. That’s a 22 year old who has never spoken in an arena before. Give the kid a break.
I wouldn’t say wooden, more like what an inexperienced college graduate would write/say. That just makes it more genuine.

She’s just out of college. I’d cut her some slack. She was poised and she delivered her speech with nary a stumble. Though I’m sure the mainstream media are now running that speech through their plagiarism apps. Maybe a sentence or two matches what was in an Amy Carter speech from 1978. Who knows what they will turn up.
