July 18, 2016, 09:37 pm Chris Matthews: GOP 'ruined' evening by having 'that woman' speak on Benghazi

Patricia Smith — the mother of Sean Smith, who was killed in a terrorist attack in Benghazi, Libya, in 2012 — delivered a raw, emotional and unapologetic speech at the Republican National Convention that centered on one person: Hillary Clinton.
"For all of this loss, for all of this grief, for all of the cynicism, the tragedy in Benghazi has wrought upon America, I blame Hillary Clinton," Smith declared from the convention stage in Cleveland on Monday night. "I blame Hillary Clinton personally for the death of my son."
Smith went on to call Clinton, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, a liar for her explanation of Smith’s death.
"In an email to her daughter shortly after the attack, Hillary Clinton blamed it on terrorism," said Smith. "But when I saw Hillary Clinton at Sean’s coffin ceremony, just days later, she looked me squarely in the eye and told me a video was responsible. Since then, I have repeatedly asked Hillary Clinton to explain to me the real reason why my son is dead. I’m still waiting."
MSNBC's Chris Matthews was asked for his reaction of the speech during the network's convention coverage and didn't hold anything back.
"I don't understand why the Republicans would choose to put this on prime-time television when they have such wonderful stories of American heroism to speak to the American people," an emotional Matthews said. "I think it was wrong.
"I don't care what that woman up there, the mother, has felt," he continued. "Her emotions are her own. But for the country in choosing a leader, it's wrong to have someone get up there and tell a lie about Hillary Clinton.

Good to know Matthews realizes this is so extremely damaging to Hillary. Nothing demonstrates Hillary’s incompetence and mendacity like her Libya policy disaster and her blatant lies and cover-up about the Benghazi debacle. Only a fool would expect anything different from her as President.
I'd like to ask Prissy Chrissy what was untrue about her remarks.
So Matthews is calling her a liar like Hillary has.

The mother had YEARS to think about this. 99% of the American media REFUSED to listen to her story.... so NOW she gets a chance to tell her side, and is ATTACKED?!
Cindy Sheehan was a media attention getter for YEARS. NO one in the media was upset.

Somebody needs to point out to Chrissie that FBI director Comey has established the fact that Hilary is a liar; that the Starr Report has established the fact that her husband is a liar; but no one has presented any evidence that Patricia Smith is a liar.
Yes, but Romney made some guy’s wife die of cancer. But that was an earlier campaign from the team Tingles prefers.
That means “that woman” must have really got to/hurt the Democrats.
Which means his exposure is much less.

I watched Mrs. Smith speak on youtube. The first comment after her video was dismissing her as emotionalistic.
It’s somewhat ironic that liberals would dismiss anyone’s emotions, since their whole philosophy is based on manipulating feelings and eschewing rational thought.
Although, I suppose even the pseudo appeal to rationality of the left when dismissing the real pain of a mother is, in itself, an emotional feelings-based reaction. They can’t stand to see their messiah criticized. Hillary is supposed to finish bringing the utopia that Obama started—and anything that threatens that must be taken down at all cost.
