The swift rounding up of judges and others after a failed coup in Turkey indicated the government had prepared a list beforehand, the EU commissioner dealing with Turkey's membership bid, Johannes Hahn, said on Monday.

Some people either lack imagination or haven't been exposed to or are aware of the dirty tactics methods used by evil power mongers.

One example: Identify all the targets you suspect of working against you using spies and wire intercepts in your administration then use the intel you have to orchestrate it. If you know a guy is going to stage a coup from the wire intercepts you let him stage it then trap him. You developed a list of your dissenters earlier so now you have a list to purge from your administration. What's left over are the like minded Sheeple who will follow your orders without question.

I think you describe exactly what happened. Erdogen got wind of this, then leaves the country and let’s it happen. Problem is the coup people were like the gang who couldn’t shoot straight. In a coup you arrest the current leader of the country or kill him or something. This was weird.

I’m surprised that countries around haven’t taken advantage of this.

Yeah this is looking more and more like a false flag operation in order to purge, from the living, his enemies. Send Turkey packing from NATO. They really do not belong as a NATO member anyway.

I'd rather see Europe keep Turkey and the US go packing. We would save a lot of money. Let Europe figure out how to dismiss or accommodate Islam. We can shift our interests to the Pacific rim which looks far more promising economically.

No way Turkey allows Obama to green light the Iranian nuclear program without nukes in Turkey. They have at least 50 in the newly renovated storage bunkers. We also have nukes in three other NATO countries. A little over 25 % of NATOs nukes are in Turkey.
