You’re merely grasping at straws to blindly support your Cruz thesis. Or if not, then do this. Cut and paste Breitbart’s explanation as to how Ted’s mother got registered as a Canadian citizen.

Maybe she was a Canadian citizen in 1974. Maybe she was a Cuban citizen in 1980. Maybe she was a Chinese citizen in 1985. We'll never know if she was an Iranian citizen in 1999.
The important issue is was she an American citizen in 1970.
