Rush is wrong to compare Cruz making a future comeback, to Nixon’s comebacks.
Nixon never bailed on the party. Cruz’s opus last night was like Scranton and Rockefeller abandioning Goldwater in 1964. Their future presidential chances died with that.
The Cruz opus was degrading to himself. I think he has burnt any bridge he may have had for future presidential aspirations. He actually lost when he let Romney and the Jeb Bush team take over his campaign. Rush is still trying to cover for him. Seems to have a connection with Cruz and won't let it go.
