However silly or inane it may be, MSNBC and the Washington Post have both reported this sovereign citizen thing in the past hour. Whether it’s true, or whether someone’s busy crafting this rumor to deflect attention from racial motivations, I think it’s useful to be aware of it. I posted it so that others with more skill than I may be able to uncover facts to either confirm or deny. Again, you’re welcome to disagree.
I think the media is making up the sovereign citizen thing out of whole cloth. No doubt the WH/Jarrett has told them to.

Isn’t the sovereign citizen thing usually a white man thing, you know, independent, living off the grid, so to speak.
Perhaps by talking about the sovereign citizen movement the Wash Po and MSNBC are both trying to deflect the obvious race angle of the shooter. . .to “reverse hate” the incident. . .perhaps like they did before when they found some Tea Party guy with the same name of the Colorado theater shooter and tried to smear the Tea Party. . .perhaps.
