Nearly 3,000 soldiers arrested and 2,700 judges fired as Turkey begins punishing those linked to attempted coup. Turkey has begun a purge of soldiers and judiciary officials allegedly connected to an effort to topple the government, one day after a failed military coup attempt.
By Saturday evening, the government of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan had detained 2,839 military personnel, with number of arrests expected to rise, according to Prime Minister Binali Yildirim.
Turkey's top judicial body, the HSYK, dismissed 2,745 judges on Saturday, according to Turkey's Anadolu news agency.

Awesome insight!!!You are right on!!! :-)
“However this could also have some consequences.”
Can you give some examples of possible consequences?
Hmmm... between your #35 and this one, that’s quite interesting. I’m not familiar with this Fethullah Gulen person, so this helps a lot. Podesta, huh? lol. Why am I not surprised?
“Putin has Hillary’s emails that probably reveal her and Obama’s involvement in the weapon’s running operations, the fake sarin gas attack by “Syria” that didn’t match chemically with Syria’s known sarin gas stores, etc.”
Good observation, Nita Nupress. I had forgotten about that.
Syria 2.0 and increasing hordes invading the West.
I will PM you on that. Look at post#42 by McGruff. It has started.
I’m discovering I know nothing about Fethullah Gulen and who/what he is. You can disregard that comment. I’m still a little confused about him re: whether or not hs a white hat/black hat and how he fits into all this, but I’ll catch up.
Where is that? Turkey? And recent?
Why did they surrender? I just don’t understand these people. Why surrender when you know you’re going to be tortured? It’s the same as when they bend over passively being led to their execution. What a strange way to face death.
Remember the Alamo. Remember Goliad. They need a little Texas blood coursing through their veins. ;-)
Read some of our posts on this thread. I think ole Erdy is going to be a dead duck himself. Destroyed by Vlad the Impaler in a very public way.
A reporter’s caption for that photo:

Been reading so much today, my eyes blur! Going to read some more though.
It is exceedingly difficult to get a sense of the facts. We know there was a messy military action yesterday in Turkey. A real attempted coup? A fake coup? People with some sense of the regional tensions coming down on both sides, no one has clarity yet.
Nothing surprises me more than finding I frequently agree with things Putin SAYS. His true motives though...pfftt..he’s Russian...a mystery.
But while much is “unknowable”...one thing we can count on. The men who were involved in this purposely or unwittingly are going to wish they were dead.
I agree with you about those poor wretches. I have been following Putin and his involvement is a given.
The Russians would likely turn Erdy over to the Turks and he will wish he was never born. I would pay to watch what they would do to him.
I’m throwing this out for something to chew on:
Maybe Putin planned the coup to smoke out the key Muslim radicals in Turkey. Now he knows where to strike with his allies.
I have no knowledge that this is the case. It’s simply speculation on my part.
And when there are mass murders, I bet the US and the EU will say nothing. The same silence will greet Erdogan when he uses all of this as cover to try and eliminate his Kurdish problem and slaughter even more of them than he already has.
Don’t think so. He knows the enemy well already.
