Looks like Obama got what he wanted...attacks on ISIS to stop.

Try a coup again guys!

The base does have the means and facilities to secure them. No one is going to walk in and take them.

Imagine a very, very deep hole in the ground inside the storage facility.

In a worst-case scenario you open the cover and lower the ordnance to the bottom.

Then you set off small charges that collapse the concrete walls and you have secured the ordnance from unfriendly hands for a considerable time...time to bring in the full force of the US military.

Of course, this is only a guess :-)

This makes for a great excitement heading into the Republican and Democratic convention. This would be a great one for Obama and Hillary to answer away for what happened. What was that famous line that Rahmn Emhauel used to say?

The mechanics of the nukes is all there. One would only have to strip the control circuitry and replace it in order to activate those bombs.

“The most important part of a nuclear weapon is the actual material components and mechanical detonation assemblies. Electronics can be Jerry rigged given a week or two.”

Finally someone that gets it.

If they come after US nuclear weapons then the best thing the US military could do is set the timers and get out of Dodge.

Do the Turks have NATO / US supplied nukes ?

On an earlier thread, I read that they do. I will have to find it, if I can.

Very worrisome.

I read last night on some thread here that they do have nukes. I will have to try to find it.

G*d help us.

To do a search, a FReeper said something like, "time to get them out".

If I find it, I will post the thread here.

Their first option is to evacuate those nukes by air if they believe there was a chance they could lose control. They have few hours, put them on bolsters to be placed on about a dozen or so aircraft pallets, which should take care of everyone them that they got at Incirlik. One C-17 should be able to handle the job.

PRECISELY!!!!
This was staged by the Turkish leader but while he may succeed in the short run, in the longer run, he’s dead meat.
