None of these potential loses mater if Newt isn't a Senior Adviser for Trump.
Why is Trump shunning Newt? Sure Newt will be speaking at next week's convention, but it's as if, in just a matter of days that Trump is shunning Newt. And if Trump is truly closing the door on Newt, after telling people in Ohio that Newt would be part of his team, then that isn't going to sit well for lots of Trump supporters.

Trump will be naming THOUSANDS of people to his administration. Most won't be named until after the election.
Trump said Newt will be part of the administration; he didn't say Newt would be the FACE of the administration. I believe I read somewhere that Newt wanted something in the security area.
Oh, and Newt is on Face the Nation this morning. 😉
