Id like to say what took them so long but i dont know the disposition of the Turkish miltary. Can any enlightened Freeper tell me if Turkish military are good guys or bad?

CNN reports that the imams are aclling for their people to revolt against the military.

Turkey is supposed to be a secular state. It's constitution is inviolate, unamendable on that point. Erdogen was taking the country toward a religious state, and the military (which operates under a separate person, not the president) is asserting an objection.

While it's not orderly in the sense that we are accustomed to, "orderly" is a relative term. Military Coups in Turkey.

Others have pointed out, a surefire way to figure out which side is in the right, is to pick the side opposite Obama. He always chooses wrongly.
