Good news. Quite a few people are confused about the actual situation in Turkey and the historic role of the military in the secular nation established by Ataturk.
Some colonel was just going nuts on the Howie Carr Show saying you never want the military to overthrow an elected government. Yes we do.
Very good news if the military ousts Erdogan and returns Turkey to a more secular form of government with more individual freedom and tolerance for all religions.

Funny it would be a colonel who has that opinion. They're usually the rank that takes over. :).
If the coup succeeds, on top of what happened in Egypt, it will be a seismic shift in the region's politics and a good thing.
