Post #100 ~ The military in Turkey, like the military in Egypt, has always been the enforcer of the more secular aspects of the nation, and after the current Turkish regime had gone a little off the rails, the military, organized mostly under the revolt of the colonels, is throwing out the deadwood.
This is not a new phenomenon for Turkey. ~

Agreed. But will they succeed? That remains to be seen...

The majority of Turks reject a return to Islmic fundamentalism. Erdogan has ruled like a tyrant. He was trying to install himself as the permanent ruler thru various intrigues.
