Igor lives in a dark bubble if he believes that any serious nation fears the Russian Military.
From the earliest days of the Romanov’s, Russia has produced one catastrophic defeat after another starting w/Gustavus Adolphus of Sweden in the 17th century.
Then came the Duke of Marlboro/John Churchill, followed by Napoleon, remember him? Next it was the Crimean War. Then in 1905 the Japanese Navy sunk the entire Eastern Russian Fleet of some 12 dreadnoughts in the Straits of Tsushima, Manchuria.
In 1914, Russia invaded East Prussia where Von Hindenburg trapped two Russian armies at Tannenberg; inflicting more than 400,000 casualties in 3 days, which effectively neutralized them for the remainder of WW1.
In 1940, the Finns drove them out of their country during in the Winter War.
And bringing up the rear is Afghanistan, where they hightailed it the dead of night in 1989.
Did they have some marginal success in WW2. Sure and so what? We won that war because we took charge of it.
Russian military prowess??? Laughable!!!
