They’re not carrying loaded pistols. They’re military trainees, required to maintain custody of their rifles at all times. Israel is not an insane gun-control hellhole like California or New York, but they don’t have a Second Amendment.

Rant begins.
The 2nd Amendment is not about loaded pistols. The 2nd Amendment is about freedom to firearms, whatever that might be— from knives to explosives; whatever to keep the tyranny away.
Today, the 2nd Amendment is about “guns”, but what good is your loaded pistol against the MILITARY? If the government has weapons, the governed should have the right to the same weapons. Enjoy your pistol to “defend your family”... when the government rolls in with their tanks, you will be squashed like a termite.
