Pence could have and should have exposed the state legislature. He didn’t. He took the fall for them Listen again with that in mind. He IS a man of principle and takes responsibility even when it’s not his fault. He is a leader

When people like Pence are seen as buckling under pressure, it just continues the cascade of GOP surrender monkeys, and enables the crazies to march further on (as they’ve already done with transsexual bathrooms, and further lawfare against Christian families and businesses).
Nearly eight years now of GOP leaders caving on amnesty, Obamacare, social/values issues, and everything in between. I don’t buy ANY excuses anymore. I reached my breaking point with GOP spinelessness.
I recall he at least partially pinned the “mis characterization” and confusion on the national media and other outsiders leveling “smears” against the bill.
