San Jose, Calif. -- Fourteen individuals who attended the Donald J. Trump presidential campaign rally on June 2, 2016, in San Jose, Calif., filed a class action lawsuit this morning against the City of San Jose, its mayor, Sam Liccardo, its chief of police, Edgardo Garcia, certain named individual rioter defendants, and 38 yet-unknown "Doe" defendants, alleging that the Defendants created a dangerous situation for all Trump Rally attendees that caused plaintiffs to be exposed to brutal assault, intimidation, false imprisonment, and threats by an angry mob of hundreds of anti-Trump protesters.
“Law-abiding citizens leaving the Trump rally were victimized by being forced by armed police to walk into a riot in full swing where many were assaulted while police looked on," said Plaintiffs' attorney, Harmeet K. Dhillon. “We seek redress for the serious physical and other injuries our clients and the class suffered as a direct result of the City’s acts and omissions, as well as the deliberate acts of the individual assailants."

There were 24 assault victims...the ones not named will probably join in.
If it is a federal suit it has a shot; state not so much.
We have to remember that the lawsuit is in Communist California. We’ll have to see how far it gets.
Hope the bureaucrats in Cleveland are paying close attention.

Hope they mop the floor with that idiot mayor AND police chief and it won’t stop there.....every city government that chooses not to protect peoples civil rights on their streets need to be held accountable. San Jose is a disgrace!!!!
If I were attending the Cleveland Republic Convention I would be getting prepared to sue the Mayor of Cleveland, the Police Dept. and the Governor (sulky Kasich), coz’ you know they will do nothing to prevent violence there. At the least the National Guard should be in place, but the powers that be are telling the police to “stand down”. Soros is no doubt already writing checks to his paid “protestors”.
Our side seems to be waking up.....that’s a good thing.
I wish I had a sliver of faith left in our criminal justice system.
The “justice” system was replaced long ago by the “legal system” manipulated and twisted out of any fairness by lawyers for their own gain. You don’t have to look far to see the corruption there. Judges making up law as they go, liars for hire (defense lawyers) and prosecutors looking to fill out their win card. And all good beer buddies.
I’d love to see a Bivens suit (defendant personally liable rather than the government) target both the mayor and police chief.
I hope the suit is successful.
