I see it the same way. Pence seems a reasonably safe choice among a not-so-great talent pool.
There were far worse options on the table (e.g. Christie, Tom Cotton) that Trump was apparently astute enough to not pick. And that’s really the only bar he had to clear.
Literally the only person I can think of that would’ve added interesting value to the ticket is Rand Paul, but I’ve no idea if he was on the radar or if he’d be open to it.
Even Rand Paul gets my hackles up.
Personally, there is really no one in the GOP that I do not despise, and view as the lowest life form on this planet.
I really have grown to hate the GOP.
I don’t have any personal hatred for Pence yet, maybe that will change in the future, but for now it’s okay.
