Mr. Mercat and I will be spending five weeks in England, Switzerland, and Austria with stops in Germany and France. We’ll be camping and avoiding the big cities. A bit scary but we figure we only have a few years left before we’ll be too old and Europe will collapse.

Close friends sprung for a study abroad course for their college age daughter last year for similar reason. Wanted her to see Europe and as the African refugee crisis swamped Italy and the Mideast refugees came up through Greece, they sensed it was now or never. Looking back on Cologne’s New Years Eve, they had no idea how prescient. Be safe and enjoy.
