What a bunch of Nervous Nellies, deflected by one propagandistic word in a misleading headline: "Secretive".
There's nothing particularly "secretive" about Tony Perkins or the Council for National Policy. It's simply an umbrella coordinating group that isn't a public actor.
That Ted Cruz, the leader of the conservative faction of the GOP, should be meeting with a leadership group within the conservative wing prior to the Convention should come as no surprise.
To perceive this as some "dark plot" against Trump betrays the insecurity of his supporters. That Politico could insert one misleading word in a headline and evoke such a response is, well, disappointing.
P.S. Can anybody think of any reason why Cruz would be speaking -- or even allowed to speak -- at the Convention except to endorse Trump? Can anybody think of any logical reason why Cruz, who still has a future, would not endorse Trump?
