Oh, I wasnt threatening any personal actions on my own, although in that post, I guess it wasn’t clear. My vote is never that shaky and is on my own principles alone, not the whim of any person attacking me or not. But, I’m just trying to make folks aware that there ARE people out there who really are struggling about voting for Trump or not. They can be brought on board and swayed. Our pride can’t be bigger than our determination to save the country. On EITHER side. Are they throwing tantrums? Sure, some are. I know how A LOT of people feel about it because I’m slowly but surely trying to talk them back from the nevertrump cliff everyday. It’s almost impossible though when lies and crazy accusations keep getting hurled their way and at the conservative fighters in the party. What is the point of that? Is this a Trump only site or is it for conservatism in general? I mean can we not vote for Trump and in the process defend conservative senators, reps, governors and ideals that are attacked on here? All of sudden, Wall Street is attacked on here on the regular, with almost verbatim liberal talking points, for example. Why can’t we do both? Why can’t we try to bring some common sense to the table and say you know what, we need votes and maybe it’s a good idea not to continue insulting and personally attacking those who will NEVER vote for Hillary, but are skiddish about Trump and maybe can be won over. I’m not talking about kissing people’s bums for votes, but not being viscous about it either. I have been begging for a cease fire. I’m not bashing Trump on here (I don’t think), I’m defending and promoting conservatives and conservative values which I have done on here for over a decade. Sometimes those things are attacked here completely absent of anything having to do with Trump.
At this point, of course I hope Trump beats Hillary. But I admit I’m not enthusiastic about anything except in my hatred for her. Well, and maybe in my hope that Trump completely and utterly destroys the establishment.
But, although I’m not as old and wise as some around here, I do know this. Beating Hillary is going to be hard because the electoral college plays in favor of liberals at the moment. If we can’t get every last conservative on board that we possible can, that will be an impossible feat.
We can’t demand people be enthusiastic in their vote for Trump, I understand that. But we don’t have to keep making their decision to NOT vote for him at all an easy one. That’s my point. And yes, I could have gotten that point across with a little less “passion” and a little more civility, I admit. I just hate to see us piss this away to Hillary. The thought is just sickening.
