Those men laid down their lives in service to their fellow human beings (including Obama, Hillary and Donald Trump) - a sacrifice spoken of by our Lord as the "greatest sacrifice," and honoring their sacrifice means far more to the good Lord than political "optics."
Sorry you and some others can only think political campaigns instead of the larger picture.
We're far beyond politics here.
I would never expect a Cruz, a Bush or anyone else to refuse to do the right thing, to please anyone, much less campaign supporters.
P.S.: To those here who choose to continue the Primary fight, I choose to follow scripture that instructs me to accept and obey my leaders as they are in the place of power by the the "will of God" and to refuse that instruction is to dishonor God, not man.
OMG, tell me you just didn't post that???
How about those times when God sends a country that has done evil (abortion comes to mind) the evil leaders they deserve? Are you faithfully going to follow them? How about when Hitler became the leader of Germany? Your post reminds me of why this country is in the mess we are in but probably well deserved with thinking like this.

It was expected that Cruz would be at the memorial. Did you miss that it is the chumming with Obama that was offensive? Not politics but integrity that should have guided him in choice of transportation.
