We do ask too much from the police.

1. Respect our 2nd Amendment rights.

2. Don’t go all roid-rage when we aim a camera at you. We have a right to do so.

3. Be sure you have a warrant when you go to search someone’s house.

4. Make sure you get the address right on that warrant before you bust in and shoot or kill innoncent people.

5. Just because you don’t like something doesn’t mean there’s a law against it. Don’t go making up laws on the fly and don’t try enforcing your fantasy laws on anyone.

6. Stop throwing everyone to the ground when you arrest them. If it isn’t necessary then it isn’t necessary. Knock it off.

7. Stop lying on your police reports. The video isn’t going to lie and you people should have figured this out by now.

8. Your job is not to enhance local revenue, your job isn’t to advance the Mayor’s political agenda, your job is to enforce the law and maintain order.

9. If all of the above is too much to ask then please turn in your badge and your gun and find another job.

10. If you can manage all of the above then thank you for your service and I hope you enjoy your pension when you retire! You’ll have earned it!

I think “Don’t shoot the dog” needs to be in there.

I think the first 4 are reasonable but the rest are a little bit of overkill. AFAIK, cops only throw perps to the ground if they are resisting arrest. Things would go so much better for people if they complied with LE orders in the first place.
