The rest of the world fell as hard for Barack Obama as Americans did.
Back in 2008, the same qualities in the 47-year-old senator from Illinois that excited U.S. voters enthralled people around the globe. He was a fresh face and a compelling orator. He had spent his childhood in the Asia-Pacific, and his skin color alone made billions of people feel a connection with him. Perhaps most importantly, he was not George W. Bush, the president who invaded Iraq. Obama promised hope and change and people believed he could deliverthat he would end wars in Muslim countries, improve Americas standing on human rights, even alleviate global poverty. Yes we can! shouted The Age, an Australian newspaper, when he won office. Just months later, the rookie president was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize, a nod more to his promise than to anything he had accomplished.
Obamas overseas poll numbers were stratospheric in those early days. In countries like France and Germany, more than 90 percent of people surveyed by the Pew Research Center expressed confidence that Obama would do the right thing regarding world affairs. Even in some Middle Eastern countries, where U.S. presidents are rarely liked, nearly half of the populace had high expectations for Obama.
But peace did not arrive in Obamas time. Obamas standing in much of the world seemed to sag each year as he struggled to fulfill his promises. America, after all, still has troops in Iraq and Afghanistan. In the Middle East, revolutionary movements, including ones Obama overtly backed, have largely fizzled or bred violent anarchy. And Russia has ignored Obamas warnings and asserted its influence in former Soviet states, sometimes at the point of a gun. Many saw in this picture a naive president and a United States of diminished standing.

True... she isn’t the brains behind it. She’s another puppet.
Self indulging? How about objective truth “indulging”?
Question:
If it is really true that NBC requires two American-born parents, as you're contending, why is it that no claim to this effect was posted on FreeRepublic until December 8, 2008 -- over a month after Obama's election?
His father's Kenyan birth was no secret. It was admitted in both of his "autobiographies".
Accordingly, everybody who was expert on the subject of presidential eligibility was alerted well in advance of the election. But nobody realized he wasn't qualified until over a month after he was elected?
Which precluded him from being "An American" in the first place. Do you know anyone who grew up in Indonesia and then Hawaii who is a normal red-blooded American?
Obama promised hope and change and people believed he could deliver
The "hope" has turned into disgust and racial unrest, but boy did he ever deliver on the "change"...we're all seeing it now.
Hey America: How’s that Hope ‘n Change workin’ out for ya?
The real subject here is the world’s longing for a Hillary presidency to fulfill the awe-inspiring promise of the Lord Obama.
I believe that this kind of characterization is people projecting onto him what they imagined he would be like. His actual speaking skill is bad, reminiscent of second rate actors who get hired to play a minor role in one episode. Sure, they memorize their 2 or 3 lines from the script, but they still sound like they are reading it.
His great "skill" at oration is much like his great contribution to world peace--visible only to his ardent, emotionally invested supporters, who project their hopes and desires onto him.
Can you prove that?
Almost half of American voters didn't!
If Obama is a muslim and muslims treat women like crap and subjugate them then how the hell is Obama taking orders from a woman?
Makes no kind of sense at all.
Actually that's a very good question.
Flies do have a propensity to land on 0bomba’s face.
In Jan. 20th 2009 when his first took office, he wrote out an executive order to close Gitmo that was officially issued 2 days later which you can see here (notice the date on the bottom).......

That was the VERY FIRST thing he did the second he walked across the doorway into the Oval office. When I heard about that, I said to myself “THIS is his #1 priority?? THIS?? Freeing terrorists? This guy is an Islamic enemy agent!!” and he’s proven it to me a thousand times over ever since. In time of war DEMOCRATS put the enemy into the nations highest office, and the GOP-Es did nothing about it. For the past 7.5 years this Islamic enemy agent has done nothing else but empower, defend and help spread radical Islam while kicking the legs out from the USA and its allies on every possible level. And this bullcrap of Osama Bin Laden being dead? Where is the evidence? To date not one shred of evidence has been shown that he is dead, not to mention the actual Seal 6 members like Matt Bissonette saying in his book, the guy they shot looked nothing like Bin Laden - Which if you remember the Islamic enemy agent threatened Bissonette. They were conned as were the public by the Islamic enemy agent.
He was culturally wrong, but his boosters did not care. They just wanted to throw a monkey wrench in our culture. And that they “admirably” did. A piece of South Africa coming right up!
Joe Biden’s reason for Obama’s success,
“I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy,” Biden said. “I mean, that’s a storybook, man....
He hated the USA.
The USA hated God, and thus hated itself.
Match made in hell, allowed by heaven.
Your not worth any further discussion if you consider your unnecessary, snot nosed commentary “objective truth”.
If it is falsehood you could ignore it... but it got under your skin because it was accurate.
I had a link from Cynwoody, but it's gone missing.
The post relied on reporting from a Hillary-favorable website and was concerned with Chester A. Arthur's father being born in Great Britain (true) -- therefore, Arthur had been ineligible.
