After a Minnesota police officer fatally shot a black man on Wednesday, gun control advocates werent the only ones criticizing the National Rifle Association. Some of the blowback was coming from within the organization.
The NRA is facing internal division as its members argue that the group did not do enough to defend gun owners rights by speaking out on behalf of Philando Castile of Falcon Heights, Minn., who was shot to death during a traffic stop.
Castile had a valid permit to carry a gun. He also reportedly informed the officer who shot him that he was armed in an attempt to head off a misunderstanding.

Seen it. Btw, that image has been around for days. Thanks
Btw, that same link you posted has been posted on this site probably 50 times.
I'm not doctor but I believe she possibly exhibited signs of trauma shock, one symptom of which possibly includes feeling disconnected from their emotions.
I don't know her background or how much she has been exposed to this type of event, but sitting inches away from a friend who is suddenly and unexpectedly shot to death would have a tendency to put some folks into shock state.
Yeah, that’s possible too. One of the most surreal events I ever was part of was when I worked a fresh murder with the a guy shot right in front of his three year old.
Guy is snoring and drumming his heels, I am trying to hold his brains in, and I look up at the kid who has blood on him and not one iota of emotion. Not fear, not sadness, nothing.
Of course, dad had been in prison all his life so there was no emotional bond.
Yep, kids mothers new boo did not appreciate him coming back into the picture. You can guess the rest.
“But please stop attacking me with your reckless implications and baseless accusations which are simply not true. This is not about me so try to stay on subject.”
I am exactly on target. You jumped to conclusions from the gitgo, and now you are trying to walk it back, pretending you never did. We’re on to what you did, you know. You were on the wrong side, the actual perp’s side, and not that of the Cop. Now as more comes out, those that read your posts are more than a bit sceptical about what you say. Enough. The truth will out, sooner than later.
Is it fair to assume based on her statements and Facebook readiness that both were very suspicious and fearful of police?
Then they get stopped.
Then he appears to have placed an unholstered firearm basically on his lap, maybe under his shirt.
We need more facts. But I have more difficulty reconciling their behavior and her statements then the officer’s method of effecting the stop.
What makes you think he was reaching for his ID?
Well, lets just say there seem to be some real issues involving this incident.
How much time do they need up there to investigate a traffic stop and a one shooter incident? I can’t believe they haven’t had an updated news conference and at the very least to clear up some of these very basic questions.
They might fully understand they have some real issues here and which would explain the delay of going public with some basic information as well as clearing up all these conflicting reports and unanswered basic questions.
Remember, the Dallas BLM terrorist stated this was the event that set him off. So this is a big deal which should not simply be left to fester.
Quote me. Put up or shut up. Do it.
I would also be very deliberate in releasing information after our recent history. I don’t think the investigating agency is in possession of it all anyway.
As for the Dallas shooter, his opinion of police was formed a long time ago. His comfort with lashing out might have begun in Cambridge or Ferguson.
Ramsey County is St. Paul. Hennepin County is Minneapolis. Where did he live?
The Dallas BLM terrorist named the Philando Castile incident as being his final indignity or last straw.
It don’t get much clearer that that.
are CC folks “normal folks” *when they’re carrying*? or are they’re “lethal folks” exercising a regulated privilege? Different level of personal responsibility. Different level of rational behavior. You’re mixing apples and oranges.
A vehicle is an extension of one’s home, so I’m amused you think it’s ‘absurd’ to be picky. But I strongly suspect, if more people erred on the side of caution, there would be fewer acquaintance-related victims in the world.
speaking of which, did you pick up that galpal said, ‘WE had some weed in the car’ (8min mark) She didn’t say, ‘I had some weed.’ She didn’t play ignorant of any weed. WE. Guy’s dying, she peppers her tape with ‘he’s CC’ and wraps up by dumping the weed on him? Whatagal.
“You jumped to conclusions from the gitgo
Quote me. Put up or shut up. Do it.”
The “conversation” is over. Time will tell which of us was correct from the gitgo.
Quote me. Put up or shut up. Do it.
The conversation is over.
So when evidence is requested, your run for the tall grass? What a surprise.
Were on to what you did, you know.
Oh no, you discovered me! Btw who is we? The blued haired bingo coffee klatch?
P.S. You really need to stop making false accusations.
Understood. But he knew less than we do. My point is that he was conditioned by prior false narratives. Intentionally false narratives.
More facts will become known soon about Minnesota. Culpability and liability can be determined then. But the Dallas shooter was ready to pop and would have found his triggering event sooner or later.
Minnesota is not our problem, although your critique of some of their decisions is probably well-founded. We have had mechanisms in place for years to deal with complaints of excessive force and programs to improve police training and tactics.
We may agree that we currently have a very robust political force pushing the false narrative for their political and economic benefit. Police behavior doesn't really matter in this scenario. Exoneration of the police comes too little and too late to influence much of the black community. Sort of an OODA loop problem.
I’m just sayin what the Dallas BLM terrorist told the Dallas Police, which was then broadcast to the planet. Obviously his fuse was lit some years ago.
Btw, the Communist & assorted American/freedom hating left told us long ago what their intentions are. Compound this with one world no borders globalist. We’re in critical need new leadership from the top down in this country. And it’s the reason why Trump has all the right enemies, all of which are attempting to gain total control of America. I hope we get it right. We get no second chances at this juncture.
