Great information, considering the Minnesota shooting which occurred last week. According to the attorney of the officer who killed Philando Castile (who was carrying legally and informed the officer), the officer shot Castile because he did not comply with a "do not move" directive. Castile's girlfriend says he was simply reaching for his license and registration.
"This had nothing to do with race. This had everything to do with the presence of a gun." Those are the words of the officer's attorney and they should alarm everyone who legally carries a gun.

Philando Castile (who was carrying legally and informed the officer)
do you have a link to info verifying this ?
Besides the girlfriend saying it and family members saying it, The Star Tib late yesterday had this assertion from an unnamed source:
Although the names of gun permit holders are not public under state law, a source confirmed Castile was issued the permit when he lived in Robbinsdale.
thanks
