Yes, Fox news reporter Matt Finn was reporting that the attorney for the officer that shot Castile said the officer was responding to a visible gun & not his race. He went on to report that he was pulled over because he matched the description of a robbery suspect. He also reported that there is a pic that shows a gun on Castile. He said they are working to confirm all of this.
meanwhile, here is our other newest national martyr, Alton Sterling, posing with his kids
and the guns he gave them.

The truth will put a kibosh on the demonstrations/riots just as it did in Ferguson. /s
Yes, there is. It would have been better if you asked nicely, but I'll be happy to help.
When you do a search, be sure you always change the drop-down menu below the search field to "titles". It defaults to "keywords", and that isn't what most people want.
I always use only the first few words of a title -- enough to make it unique, but not an exact match. That way, you'll catch articles where the poster has truncated the title (with or without a notation).
Good catch. I saw the initial report that the sheriff where he lived denied that he had a permit. But it turns out he apparently did have a permit from a neighboring county where he had previously lived.
If in fact he did tell the cop he had a CCW, then this ought to have played out very differently. Having a CCW is the closest thing we have to “vetting” of private citizens. Of course, the cop hasn’t seen the permit, he has only the guy’s word for it. But the fact that he states it, and has notified the cop that he is armed rather than simply producing the weapon means something.
All this kind of stuff I put in my pending file. If the gun in the car turns out to be the same as the on shown in the security tape and they find a carton of Newports, then we will know the victim may have had some worries about being arrested for armed robbery. Faced with that he may have considered using his gun. Now I will wait to see if this info is confirmed.
The thing I wonder is how did they get T-shirts printed and raise $220k in a matter of hours? Have they done this before?
There is a picture of Reynolds with Newports. Does not make her guilty, but there is enough information to suspect.
Many thanks!
The media is not ashamed. They are proud.
Activists probably live for this kind of thing.
On the other hand, I’m interested in the Newports.
I cautioned people to not jump to conclusions based on the original report. It was in vain.
The Ramsey County Sheriff simply said they hadn't issued him a permit. They didn't say he didn't have one. And frankly, I think it was irresponsible for them to say that, if they knew he had, or even could have, one issued in another county.
But, Castile had lived in Hennepin County. A MN CCW permit holder explained that you apply to the county sheriff, and I immediately realized that Castile could have got a permit from that sheriff. It turns out that's what happened.
Earlier, Castile's mother was quoted as saying BOTH her son and daughter had CCW permits. I seriously doubted she would make up something like that, if it wasn't true.
The Newports is common among perps. Not sure why, maybe a signal that the holder is dealing, drug user, not sure. But if you watch many cops shows you’ll see it a very common brand.
DTG costs between 20-30.00 per garment. Where are they getting yhe money?
Lester Holt dripped with racist, cop-hating venom when he reported on the Castile shooting the other day, showing the video, including a slow motion replay
Waiting for his apology, but not holding my breath.
We never get the entire story. Not with our media. We get a bit more information from the foreign newspapers. Not ours.
“The cop doesnt know anything but the fact that you could be reaching for a gun to blow him away.”
Correct.
Confronted with a gun this is what happens. First off, everything slows down, almost like super slow motion. You become so fixated on the gun and how you may survive that your brain begins to process to the exclusion of anything else. Anyone who has been in an auto accident where they see it coming has experienced the same thing.
If he was reaching for a gun, regardless of whether the officer acknowledged he had a CCW or not, after telling him to not go there, I guarantee everything went into super slomo for the copper. He probably heard nothing, nothing was allowed to permeate beyond exactly what was going on with the guys hand, where it was going to the gun and his rote response took over: pull, point shoot and fire.
My advice, if you have a CCW leave your hands on the steering wheel, make sure the officer acknowledges what you are saying and respond to his directions, period. Don’t assume anything. If you have a question about what he wants you to do, ask.
Yes. It would just be circumstantial evidence. But I am willing to bet that the police have asked the store clerk to ID the victim. We will find out.
“The story will be buried as were the facts in Ferguson,”
Recall that stepfather in Ferguson asking the folks there to........... ..........”BURN IT DOWN ! “
They did..Did the DOJ get him for ‘inciting to riot?’
Yes, like the Governor of Minnesota did right?
