Once again we broke the news before everyone else: GotNews.com proved that #PhilandoCastile was a Crips gang banger.
We also rightly pointed out that his lying, drugged up side bitch Lavish Reynolds lied about everything, including being his girlfriend, being married, and that Castile had a concealed carry permit.
Reynolds was already lying 10 seconds into the video, claiming that Castile was her boyfriend. There were no references to or photos of Castile on Reynolds Facebook page, and vice versa, even though Reynolds was a prolific Facebook user, posting dozens of photos in just the last month. Castile listed his relationship status on the site as single. Reynolds was married, although she says she is a single mom. What Reynolds should have said is side bitch.

I agree. I don’t understand why or how he could have a permit.
Appears to me that the newspaper doesn’t want to change the narrative.
Precisely
Funny thing about that.
At the Gotnews site there’s a screenshot of a tweet from what looks like a “Ramsey Sheriff (Mn) with a pic that shows a badge with the name “Matt Bostrom”. The tweet says, “Mr Castile never applied for a permit to carry with our office. Therefore we did not issue a permit.”
The problem is, in this age of Hellery Deceit that tweet doesn’t say that he didn’t have a CCW - only that this particular department didn’t issue one to him.
A commenter at that same page posted a link to a Star Tribune page that quotes “an unnamed source” that the perp had a CCW. Unnamed sources don’t count.
Then there is coverage at Conservative Treehouse where they recap the Gotnews story. A commenter there posts: “His contact permit to carry was issued in Hennepin County. The article shows a tweet from Ramsey county.”
Thank you if you’ve stuck with me this far and I’m coming to my point. Mark Twain once said, “A Lie Can Travel Halfway Around the World While the Truth Is Putting On Its Shoes”
All this speculation about one small aspect of a much larger story could be immediately put to bed by someone with sufficient authority to look up in the official state database for permits. Why they don’t is a mystery to me but it has the appearance that they (the authorities) actually encourage speculation and rumor-mongering.
” Also, why would a cook need a carry permit?”
Every non-bank robber should have a carry permit.
I guess you didn't read the note I posted to you earlier:
http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/3447678/posts?page=18#18
The Ramsey County sheriff said that Castile never applied for one at his office.
But, had you asked someone that understands the CCW permit process in MN, they would have told you Castile could have applied for one when he lived in Hennepin County.
And he did: Philando Castile had permit to carry gun
I will take the sheriffs word over an unnamed source
You just can't let it go, can you?
The Ramsey County Sheriff didn't say that Castile did not have a CCW permit. What they said was that they didn't issue him one.
The Hennepin County sheriff issued one, confirmed by two sources.
The problem: state law prevents them from releasing that information. Otherwise, you would have the media making a public information request and publishing the name of every CHL holder (it's happened).
At some point, I expect it to come out in the investigation. But, at this point I have a moderate amount of confidence in the media's report (from two sources), unless the Hennepin County Sheriff's office refutes it.
Local TV station has reported the same.
I dont know about their credibility either.
If the (Red) Star Tribune is reporting someone has a CCW permit, and not using it for "guilt by association", then it's almost certainly true.
Seems her would be hard for him to have a carry permit with an arrest record.
His "criminal" record is all traffic violations. None were disqualifying.
Also, why would a cook need a carry permit?
I'm retired. Why would I need one?
I got one long ago primarily to avoid getting arrested while transporting to and from the range. Now, I just keep it current because I want to.
That's the good thing about "shall issue". You don't have to show cause.
OK, so what if he did have a CCW permit? What difference would that make?
Haven’t seen much on Hillarys emails today...............
Her full name is apparently Lavish Diamond Reynolds. Not sure which part is on her birth certificate.
It makes it very likely that Castile was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time, and resembled someone the police were looking for.
Castile didn't know he looked like a robbery suspect, and wasn't careful in digging out his ID. The police officer didn't know he was a CCW permit holder, and jumped to the wrong conclusion when Castile told him he had a gun.
All the rest of the "proof" is nothing more than innuendo and character assassination. Castile was not a robbery suspect -- he resembled the suspect. He wasn't a criminal with a long record -- he was a terrible driver with lots of traffic offenses.
And it beggars belief to say that a guy who has worked at a public school for over a decade (after passing the background check) and has never even been arrested for a serious offense in 15 years of adulthood is a "gang member".
Finally: as I've posted elsewhere, the commission of a violent crime by a CHL/CCW holder is so rare in the US that it's statistically zero.
Looks like theST’s point of his having one from Robbinsdale is that is from another jurisdiction, which would be why the sheriff’s source would have made the distinction of his not having one that was issued by them?
A cook could "need" a carry permit for the same reason that any other American might request one: to make it more convenient to exercise his Unalienable Right to bear Arms for self-defense...
Yeah, not getting excited at ALL at Philando’s fate sounds kind of... buzzed to me.
But remember standards are different in that community. Girl friend versus side fling is virtually a meaningless quibble, yes even if one partner is married. Obviously there was a lot of sin going on.
And it is that kind of loose living that gives the lie to the idea that that community thinks its lives matter. Maybe as cheap drama bait, but otherwise?
Yes.
If all the innuendos are true, including he pulled his gun on the cop, then it’s a good shoot.
I don’t have any information, and no one else does either, to know that’s what happened. We will have to wait, which is hard when emotions are high.
For example, public school employees are arrested for odd crimes every week. He actually could be an armed robber. He was associated with gang members, or wannabe gangster. Multiple traffic offenses could be just the surface of a chronic criminal.
We will have to wait to see if he was a bad guy, just good enough to get a permit, or a real bad guy.
Might he have been high on something “Sure officer, yes I have a gun. Here it is” — not even meaning any harm, but it scared the crap out of the officer.
His girlfriend seemed eerily calm. Maybe they both had been toking.
