If the cop ran the plates and there was no note of irreverent having a,permit, then the cop would have good cause to be everything when the decedent said he had a permit he lacked and possessed a gun. At that point any suspicious move by a very dubious individual would cause a cop to take serious action.
“That audio tape is bogus. No police office talks like that on the radio. There was no background radio noise, no keying up noise, no dispatch response.
No officer worth his or her salt is going to say what this turkey said. Cause his wide-set nose.
This is some racebaiting BS, dont buy it.”
The only thing bogus is your comments here.
“Did the dead guy have a CC permit as his girlfriend so loudly proclaimed? It should be a no-brainer for the LEOs to figure that one out.”
They already did, and he never applied for or had one. And to all you *sshats that jumped all over this Cop the other night, have fun eating your words, jerks.
So do I. I made an error earlier today, and someone corrected me. It was really useful information, and helped explain why the misinformation about Castile's (lack of) CCW permit should have been challenged.
Yes, Clinton and her enablers are trying to inflame people. We can both see that, and it's wrong.
But today, I saw exactly the same behavior on the other side: character assassination of a victim on the flimsiest of evidence. So many people wanted to believe the worst based on nothing more than innuendo and coincidence, and if challenged with contrary information they wanted incontrovertible proof.
Philando Castile had permit to carry gun
Would you like some salt on that crow?
If you had even done a little bit of research, you would have known that Castile lived in Hennepin County in the past, and that he could have gotten a CCW permit there, and it would remain valid when he moved to Ramsey County.
I would excuse you for not knowing this important detail. I didn't know it until this morning, when a MN resident explained it to me.
But, I can't excuse your rude treatment for people that happened to disagree with you. You owe all of them an apology.
Actually, they kept referring to him as a "person of interest."
I hope there is a cam from the cop car....for the cops sake, I hope it shows exactly why he felt he needed to shoot....
in the bigger picture, there really should be new or better improved police actions in these cases....I'd rather a robot be sent over to inspect the car or a drone overhead to peer into the window...
“But, I can’t excuse your rude treatment for people that happened to disagree with you. You owe all of them an apology.”
Agree about the permit as it appears, in reading further, that he had one from a different county. However, to all the “jerks” that were badmouthing this Cop without knowing what actually happened on the thread the other night, my comment stands. They are all jerks (the badmouthing ones, and there were plenty. So you apologize to them for me, because I’m sure not going to.
Philando Castile had a valid permit to carry a gun when he was shot and killed by a St. Anthony police officer, a source confirmed to the Star Tribune Friday.

It appears he did have a CW permit, but possibly for another close by county
You can always tell the biased folks. They’re the first to make up their minds, regardless of evidence etc.
So, in other words, even after you have learned that you were completely wrong, you are a unrepentant [insert epithet here that would get me banned].
Thank you, that tells me everything I need to know about you.
Have a nice day.
Thanks Obergruppenführer.
It appears you're incorrect here. According to reports he did apply and have one for a neighboring county. No?
Plus, he has only three groups on his Facebook profile and one is "crips" with an old newspaper photograph in his album of two Black Panthers in front of one of their headquarters armed to the teeth.
Castile had a CCW permit good for the entire state of MN. But in MN, CCW permits are issued by the county sheriff.
Castile lived in Hennepin County (think Minneapolis, although he actually lived in Robbinsdale) in the past. But, the shooting occurred in Ramsey County (think St. Paul, although it was actually Falcon Heights).
“So, in other words, even after you have learned that you were completely wrong, you are a unrepentant [insert epithet here that would get me banned].”
You’ll find out how “completely wrong” I am when the whole truth about this Minnesota incident comes out. Then you will eat crow. Until then, go back to “just lurking”. Too many cop haters on threads. Make me sick.
bobby seale and huey newton in the newspaper photo.
Or you could read upthread, where several people have posted a cite where it was confirmed. There are actually two different media outlets in the MSP area that have published articles about it.
Are you not doing the same exact thing the others did that quickly had the cop guilty? It goes both ways.
