Sometimes I get the impression that Newt has multiple personality disorder. One day it's Newt the arch-conservative, the next day it's the Newt that panders to liberals. His right hand doesn't seem to know what the left is doing.

This means that about half the time Newt is sensible and worth listening to. Unfortunately for Newt, the Vice-Presidency isn't a half-time position.
