I have met a number of African immigrants. Aside from being extremely grateful to have escaped the hellhole that is Africa they share the trait of being hard-working and ambitions.
One was a programmer who eventually got his PhD and now teaches computer science. The other is a very successful small businessman.
It’s sure not in the DNA.
And the ones I know cannot stand "African-Americans", they can't understand how they are so lucky to be born in this country and yet complain all the time.
The people you are referring to are ‘way above the median in IQ. They are the ones who had the get-up-and-go to get up and go.
